It was International Women’s Day on 8th March 2011. Metro readers voted ex X Factor contestant and winner, Leona Lewis, as the “most influential woman of the century”. Bizarre.

I don’t live under a rock or anything. I know what the internet is, I’m down. But I just had to look up who Leona Lewis was – sat looking at Google images thinking, “I still have no idea….”
I know. I mean, she won X Factor and ended up being *somewhat* of a big hit over here and the USA but look at the poll results – there were other women in there like Vivienne Westwood, Princess Di, Margaret Thatcher etc and they only got a mere tiny fraction of the vote. It’s really weird and ridiculous! x
